NFL schedule Week 16: What games are on today? TV channels, times for Saturday tripleheader – Sporting News

The NFL is back with Saturday action for a second-straight week, and this time it’s a tripleheader for Week 16.

A week after two games on Saturday competed with conference championships, it’ll be a Boxing Day NFL party on Dec. 26. Action will get kicked off with Buccaneers (9-5) at Lions (5-9) in a matchup of Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford. The middle game will be broadcast solely on Amazon Prime Video and feature the 49ers (5-9) and Cardinals (8-6). The nightcap will be a prime-time opportunity for Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins (9-5) against Derek Carr and the Raiders (7-7).

The NFL has held Saturday games in December every season but one (2013) since 1970. A week ago, two lopsided matchups turned out as such with the Bills crushing the Broncos and the Packers cruising past the Panthers.

Here’s what you need to know about Week 16’s Saturday NFL tripleheader, including a full schedule, TV channels and start times for all three games kicking off Week 16.

What channels are NFL games on Saturday?

Here’s how to watch every game on Saturday.

Buccaneers vs. Lions

The Buccaneers head to Detroit with a berth in the postseason within grasp. The Lions are only playing for draft-pick positioning at this point, and Stafford is playing through yet another injury.

Brady and Tampa Bay looked in trouble in Week 15, but then they came roaring back to beat the Falcons, 31-27. A 46-yard touchdown from Brady to Antonio Brown, Brown’s first TD with the Buccaneers, proved to be the game-winning score.

49ers vs. Cardinals

The 49ers play in Arizona (where they’ve been playing home games anyway) as the technical road team. This will be the only NFL game of the season broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Amazon is expected to be a huge bidder as the next broadcast rights come available, so this will serve as a sort of test run.

Amazon has already been broadcasting “Thursday Night Football” games since Week 5, but those games have also been watchable on Fox and NFL Network. Not for this one. If you want to see Kyler Murray do amazing things, you’ll have to be locked in on Amazon.

Raiders vs. Dolphins

The Dolphins secured their first winning season since 2016 with a win in Week 15, so now it’s time for Miami to stamp a spot in the playoffs. Las Vegas blew its chances of late to sneak into the playoff picture, so this game is much more crucial to the Dolphins.

Miami benefited from a huge rushing day in Week 15, including 122 yards from Salvon Ahmed, the Dolphins’ first 100-yard rushing game since 2018. If Tua Tagovailoa gets help from Ahmed and Matt Breida again, it could be a comprehensive win from Miami and its strong defense.
