PHOTOS: Highlights from Florida basketball’s last-shot loss to Missouri – Gators Wire

Despite another sterling effort by reigning Southeastern Conference Player of the Week Tre Mann, the Florida Gators lost its Wednesday night affair at home against the Missouri Tigers to snap a three-game winning streak and threaten their seeding in the upcoming conference tournament.

The sophomore point guard from Gainesville dropped 21 points to lead all scorers, but it simply was not enough for Mizzou’s last-shot magic. After a first half that ended with the Gators down seven, they continued to trail for the entire second half until going on a late 8-0 run to tie the game at 70 with 19.2 seconds left.

Missouri won the game on a play that drew center Colin Castleton out of the paint allowing an open lane for the Tigers’ Dru Smith’s winning cut to the basket.

Tyree Appleby finished with 12 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Florida, while Noah Locke added 11 points and Anthony Duruji kept the glass clean with seven rebounds. Here is a look at the highlights from the game.
