LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The NSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament is underway at in Lincoln. The tournament has an expanded format this year with games spanning 5 days from March 9-13.

Tuesday, March 9
FINAL: Norris 62, Blair 46. Norris raced out to an early 10-point lead and held off a second-half charge by Blair in the Titans’ first state tournament win since 2011. Norris was led by an 18-point effort from Brayson Mueller. Senior forward Trey Deveaux scored 13 points, while Cade Rice added 10. With Norris’ lead trimmed to 6 in the third quarter, Rice made a momentum-halting layup following a steal in the backcourt.
FINAL: Elkhorn 63, Platteview 48
FINAL: Millard North 73, Millard South 46: Hunter Sallis scored 15 of his game-high 24 points in the first half to lift Millard North in the Class A Quarterfinals. Sallis, a 5-star recruit, made 3 of his 5 field goal attempts from beyond the arc. Jasen Green and Saint Thomas had 12 points apiece for the Mustangs, who improve to 24-2 on the season.
FINAL: Millard West 47, Lincoln Pius X 45. In a quarterfinal thriller, Evan Meyersick made a buzzer-beating layup to give Millard West a 2-point win over Lincoln Pius X. The game-winning shot was preceded by a clutch 3-pointer from Pius’ Sam Hoiberg. The Thunderbolts guard swished a long-range shot from the left wing to tie the game 45-45 with :03 left. On the final play, Meyersick caught a pass near midcourt, quickly dribbled toward the hoop, and layed in a contested shot at the buzzer. The play came in front of the Millard West student section, which erupted in celebration. Lincoln Pius X’s season ends with an 18-4 record.
